Steve Baer, President. Before becoming one of the founders of Strategic Tools & Equipment Company, Steven held a variety of positions Fortune 500 companies, such as: Vice President of Materials/Supply Chain for Snap-on Tools. He led the purchasing, distribution, logistics, and planning functions for the business and was responsible for 700 people, a $40 million expense budget, and over $300 million in company expenditures. Prior to Snap-on, Steven had similar assignments with Honeywell (Bendix Brakes), U.S. Robotics, and Case Corporation. Early in his career, he worked within the supply chain systems of General Motors, with EDS Corporation. He holds a BA in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA in Operations and Marketing from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Alan Hill, Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing. Before being one of the founding owners of Strategic Tools & Equipment Company, Alan held a variety of positions with Snap-on Incorporated, such as: Director, International Marketing and Business Development, for the Automotive Division of Snap-on Tools and International Director, power tools and industrial tools. Before Snap-on, Alan developed and executed global growth plans for three other companies in the industrial machinery, electrical and electronic connector, components, and switching systems segments. Early in his career, Alan successfully started and managed his own technology commercialization company. He has served as a member of the MEMA international division board, and holds a Business Management Degree from the University of Leeds in the UK.
